Known donors to Kansas Values Institute in 2022
Donors have been identified for about 27.5% of the money raised

Kansas Values Institute raised nearly $23 million in 2022 according to their IRS 990 filing. That document showed no donor names, but revealed there were 88 contributors of $5000 or more.
The top 11 donors all gave $250,000 or more. The two largest donors gave $12.8 million and $3.65 million. Eight-six other contributors donated $6.2 million.
Individuals giving directly to a nonprofit are not revealed in an IRS 990 filing and are only known if individuals self-identify.

Donors for only about 27.5% of the contributions have been identified for 2022.
An earlier article identified KVI donors for about 30% of the the money raised from 2011 - 2021. That article showed the largest KVI donors over those 11 years were teacher unions, abortion-related organizations, “dark money,” and the Democratic Governors Association.
Nonprofit donors: $3,625,000
Nonprofits giving to other nonprofits must report such grants in their IRS 990 filings. Donors are not revealed in 990s, but givers are.
America Works USA is a union-funded affiliate of the Democratic Governors Association according to Influence Watch, America Works is the largest known donor to Kansas Values Institute in 2022.
Heavy Constructors Association of Greater KC said their $75,000 to KVI was for “PAC Support.” How is that legal when KVI is a nonprofit?
Proteus Fund is a “pass-through” funder according to Influence Watch. The real source of their $50,000 contribution is not known.
“Dark money” Arabella Advisors’ Sixteen Thirty Fund gave KVI $150,000 in 2022. (In 2020 KVI received $300,000 from Sixteen Thirty and another $100,000 from “sister” New Venture Fund.)
The Bluestem Fund PAC was started by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D) in Aug. 2006. That PAC shares a website with The Bluestem Foundation for Economic Freedom, which started in Dec. 2015. (Howard Bauleke, who worked for Congressman Dennis Moore (D) and Jim Slattery (D), is the chair. Vicki Buening, who was part of Gov. Sebelius personal staff, is the Treasurer.)
The Carpenters IND’s LM2 (a form filed by unions) also shows the $350,000 contribution from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
With the IRS slow to process IRS 990s since COVID, future 990 filings may reveal additional donors.

Communication Workers of America is a major national labor union and a major financial player in the progressive world. CWA contributed to KVI both as a federal PAC and a 527 PAC (see below).
Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund was founded by Michael Bloomberg, who is its primary funder.
The NEA Advocacy PAC is part of the National Education Association (NEA). (For some reason NEA Advocacy PAC sends KVI payments to the Hartenstein Poor LLC office in Wichita.)
Pipefitters Local #533 Volunteer Political Fund is a union PAC in Kansas City, Missouri. This union operates in Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.
“Smart TD PAC” is a union PAC, the SMART Transportation PAC.
The UFCW Active Ballot Club is a PAC formed by the United Food and Workers International Union.

AFSCME Working Families Fund is part of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO union. AFSCME LM2.
AFT Solidarity 527 and AFT State and Local Fund are part of the American Federation of Teachers’ union.
The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association undoubtedly gave their $60,000 contribution in support of Lt. Gov. David Toland. (The Democratic Governors Association spent $13.1 million in TV ads to support Gov. Laura Kelly.)
EMILY’s List Non-Federal is dedicated to electing Democratic women who support abortion.
The End Citizens United PAC contribution is a bit of hypocrisy since their goal is “to end Big Money in politics.”
KANA CRNA PAC is run by the Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Kansas PAC donors: $185,000
KNEA PAC (using the name Kansas Political Action Committee) added $25,000 to the $1 million already contributed by the federal NEA Advocacy PAC.
Kansans for Constitutional Freedom gave $160,000 to Kansas Values Institute as part of their opposition to the Value Them Both constitutional amendment referendum in Aug. 2022.
This is so depressing. How can one fight against that kind of money? The liberals/globalists want to "trans" our kids (and destroy the traditional family), destroy our country, and destroy our health; the conservatives are better, but they want to let businesses pay very little taxes and pay workers as low as the free market will go. And both are willing to spend as much money as it takes.
