"Indivisible" to harass US Senators this week in Kansas
How many gold bricks will be delivered to the offices of Senator Jerry Moran and Senator Roger Marshall late this week?
Here are two events that may impact Kansas Senators Jerry Moran and Roger Marshall this week:
Thursday, March 20
Senator Moran might encounter raucous, Indivisible-inspired activists at the Kansas State University Olathe campus on Thursday outside the Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City luncheon.
Here’s the online Indivisible “Mobilize” posting promoting demonstrations at this event:
About this event
Senator Moran will be participating in the Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City luncheon meeting 11 AM - 1 PM.
We will be demonstrating in advance of the meeting on the Northwest Corner of College Blvd and Innovation Dr in opposition to Senator Moran's public silence over President Donald Trumps illegal elimination of legally mandated government services.
Thousands of American farmers, private and public sector employees, retirees and veterans are being harmed and our safety is being put at risk through the illegal dismantling of government services.
Friday, March 21
How many gold bricks, either real or foam, will the Indivisible-inspired activists deliver to the US Senate offices of the two Kansas senators after their Friday virtual event?
About this event
This is a DIY event you can do with your friends! Mail Senator Moran and Senator Marshall a little reminder of their Kansas roots.
We are going to build a yellow brick road for our Senators to find their way back home to Kansas and the people they REALLY represent.
• Buy a brick (or piece of foam)
• Paint it gold
• Sign it with your name and city or county
• Include a personal note or see our suggested text: https://bootsonthegroundmidwest.org/resources/
• Mail in a padded envelope or bring it directly to their offices!
Pro Tip: Host a party with your friends to paint bricks and mail them or drop them off!
Here’s the suggested text from the link above.
Project Yellow Brick Road
We’re sending yellow bricks to Sen. Marshall and Moran to help them find their way back home. (Real, cardboard or foam!)
Here’s a sample letter:
Dear Senator ______,
Remember Kansas/ We’re the state that elected you to represent US. We didn’t elect you to represent oligarchs and billionaires. We elected you to fight for the farmers, ranchers, teachers, nurses, business owners, parents and children across our beautiful state.
You seem to have forgotten us and lost your way, as you are following the mirage behind the curtain of D.C. Here is a little token to help you find your way back home. This yellow brick road may be a heavy burden, but we know you are up for it. After all, you pledged your allegiance to your constituents and the constitution. As we say in Kansas, ad astra per aspera.
This sample letter was suggested by a new organization named “Boots on the Ground Midwest,” which will be the subject of the next Watchdog Lab article.
Indivisible’s grants from Soros’ nonprofits
George Soros’ Open Society Foundations “Awarded Grants” page shows the Indivisible Project has been awarded $7.6 million since 2017.
I visited the site for "Boots on the Ground Midwest" and saw a key "Sustainability" and global agenda term ..., "resilient". Then I scrolled down the page to find, "A grassroots organization supporting economic, social and racial justice in the Heartland". 'nuf said!
