Stop! Quit drinking the Kool Aid. I grew up poor in a small Kansas town. I never knew I had “privilege.” My classmates in school didn’t have privilege either. Decades ago my mom talked back to the condescending political commentators on TV. She would say “I know what I heard” and she didn’t want to be talked down to or have anything explained. The poor are quite capable of functioning in society without condescending help.
