Far left “The 65 Project” is trying to disbar current or former Republican Attorneys General in 15 states
Obfuscation: The 65 Project is an initiative of the LawWorks sponsored by David Brock’s Franklin Education Forum funded by Pierre Omidyar’s Democracy Fund
Ethics complaints were filed on Wednesday in 15 states to disbar current and former attorneys general because "The 65 Project” disagreed with actions taken by these attorneys to challenge election results in 2020.
This action is intended to disrupt 2022 elections in some states.
The 15 attorney generals (current or former) receiving ethics complaints are:
Alabama, Steven Marshall
Florida, Ashley Moody
Louisiana, Jeff Landry
Mississippi, Lynn Fitch
Missouri, Eric Schmitt
Montana, Tim Fox (former)
Oklahoma, Mike Hunter (former)
South Carolina, Alan Wilson
Tennessee, Herbert Slatery (former)
West Virginia, Patrick Morrisey
Some of these AGs are candidates for elected office in November, such as
Ashly Moody, candidate for re-election for Florida Attorney General,
Derek Schmidt, candidate for Kansas Governor, and
Eric Schmitt, candidate for US Senate in Missouri.
Apparently, The 65 Project believes Republicans cannot object to presidential election results but Democrats can. On the House floor on Wednesday Congressman Rodney Davis (R, Illinois) stated: “Democrats have objected to every single presidential win in the 21st century.” [2:12 in video]

IRS 990s are not current on the IRS site for these groups (2018 for MMFA and 2019 for American Bridge), but a federal lawsuit from Oct. 2020 shows addresses for other David Brock organizations are the same as The Franklin Education Forum, 800 Maine Avenue SW, Suite 400:
Known funders for The 65 Project?
A Google search leads to the the Democracy Fund’s Grants Database but to an organization named LawWorks:
The 65 Project, an initiative within LawWorks, a fiscally sponsored project of the Franklin Education Forum, works to increase the adoption of ethics best practices by lawyers and state bar associations.
Sadly, “ethics best practices” appear to include suppression of free speech.
To its credit, Pierre Omidyar’s Democracy Fund reveals grants online a year or more before they can be found in an IRS 990 filing.
Other groups funding The 65 Project may not be known for a year or more.
